Abstract
The wireless remote control wheelchair trainer (WRCWT) is designed to help children with mobility and motor control challenges to practice skills necessary to safely maneuver a power wheelchair. The WRCWT consists of a toy wheelchair and a remote control. The purpose of the WRCWT was to allow clients to safely maneuver a power wheelchair by practicing on an electrical wheelchair joystick before operating an actual full-size power wheelchair.
