A Device that provides the child a proper place to focus their learning abilities

 Designer:  Stephen R. Ames

Client: Veronica Papenfus, Malden Public Schools, Malden, MA

Abstract

The High-Tech Study Carrel device is a new way to focus a child towards furthering their own education to raise their learning abilities, even with multiple disabilities holding them back. This device consists of a wireless motion-tracking hat, an audio-control box, and a small cubicle in which the child is placed. An accelerometer, a BS2 processor chip, and Radio Frequency transmitter and receiver are used to construct a complete system.
