Voice-Recognition Lamp

Merwin Tabliago

Abstract

The purpose of the project is to help the client live with a more independent life. The client suffered a freak accident causing her to be paralyzed from the neck down.  The project is comprised of a HM2007 voice recognition chip, BASIC Stamp 2 module, and an OMRON Solid State Relay.  The BASIC Stamp 2 module detects a valid command from the HM2007 IC, and then sends a trip signal to the solid state relay which activates or deactivates the lamp.  There is also an added feature which is similar to a bypass switch, which allows the lamp to be controlled by the voice-recognition circuit or manually.
