Voice-Activated Universal Remote Control

Designer: Mark R. Koch

Abstract

This design of a voice-activated universal remote control is a senior capstone project for a specific client.  There are eight different commands that she can control by voice, which includes TV, cable, volume up, volume down, channel up, channel down, power and TV/video.  The circuit consists of three different sections, the voice recognition circuit, the interface circuit and more circuitry that connects the interface with the universal remote control.  The heart of the design is the HM2007 voice recognition chip.
