This project aims to deliver the client with
the wheelchair functionality necessary to effectively
relieve the pain being experienced due to her spinal
deformity. To accomplish this, the spring mechanism used to
enable the client to perform the reclining function, was
replaced with an electrical actuator and a push button
interface. The actuator provided the client with the ability
to safely and easily recline the wheelchair when necessary.
This wheelchair modification gave the client the ability,
for the first time, to independently relieve pain she was
experiencing.
