Abstract
The Story Box is designed to
help physically and mentally disabled individuals, who are
not able to handle or read a story book, get an equal
satisfaction out of listening to stories being told
verbally. This device consists of a jellybean button, power
switch, play/record switch, and reset button. The total
recording time for the box is three minutes. These three
minutes are given by the two ISD chips (25.120) that were
used. This time period was divided into 6 segments, all 30
seconds each. These segments are controlled by the Basic
Stamp. The jelly bean button activates the segments, one
after the other. An amplifier is connected to the speakers
used to increase the volume of the contents being played.
